Cyclone Oma

Is this prediction happening? The date and location fits their prediction, however some of the forecasts put the Cyclone south of Brisbane. In the visual I questioned whether it would be a Cyclone or Tsunami. Please stay safe Australia, the damage the visual showed was very extensive.

Predictions 5-16-18 I had a visual of a marked spot in the middle of the Ocean. You could see central Australia to the left. “This is really bad.. the damage beyond extensive.”

Spirit wrote the word AU

When? “In about 4 weeks”

“Eric we need to focus on what’s coming now.”

Spirit showed a date 23.

Prediction: Australia Flood I had a visual of an entire city under a layer of water, trees brought down, houses damaged, raging water pushing away everything in its path.

“Australia.. Brisbane hit hard”

“Brisbane.. 18

World Predictions 2-18-19 A massive tide coming in.. TIDE! (We need to gather the details on the location. Is this a large Cyclone or Tsunami?)

“Now.” This implies a prediction is happening today the 18th or tomorrow the 19th.

  1. Well that would be the last thing Queensland needs right now. Townsville which is north of Brisbane has just been flooded beyond belief. They have had a years worth of rain in a few days.
So many homes lost to extensive flooding, and also the farmers losing lots of their livestock.
Businesses under water, very devastating for the people that live there.

  2. The Bureau of Meteorology is unsure if it will track north west at the last minute (sparing Brisbane but heading toward Bundaberg).

I am watching this closely and will evacuate in-land from my house on the bay if it continues to barrel towards Brisbane.

Houses here aren’t built to cyclone standards, with lots of homes made of timber, my own included.

If it struck Brisbane (big if at this point) the damage will be immense and I imagine lots of homes will be inundated and flattened.

    1. I meant to mention we’ve had exceptionally hot and extremely dry days here in Bundaberg/Hervey Bay area since Christmas. The ground would have trouble absorbing a large quantity of rain, and that is the concern. Hard to believe that a couple of hundred miles above us is Townsville that had extreme flooding a few weeks ago, and nothing down here. Also current projection for cyclone is Cat 2, but as it hits the warmer coastal waters, that could rise dramatically. Will keep you posted as best I can. Pete

    1. Thanks rhona2! Fortunately looks like we may be spared Oma here in Brisbane, but the tides and winds could be a problem.

Shall wait to see what the forecast says tomorrow when hopefully they have a better idea of what is going to happen over the weekend.

  4. I wonder why it’s named oma? My oma passed away recently, but ya oma means grandma in German. I don’t see why they’d want to call a cyclone grandma ?

    1. Thanks for adding Rhona. That’s just incredible all that rain they’ve recieved there. I see what you mean about them not being able to handle Oma and any more rain. Praying sending love and light to the area and those affected.
      🙏🏻❤️💫

        Yes ..how severe ?
This oma cyclone is 600km wide in diameter
Dangerous winds and surf ..abnormally high tide ..some are expecting coastal damage and possibly another King wave they are saying g it’s not going to cross and make landfall ..but expect deluge from rain and tide ..
        Queensland south western coast
Through to Yama New South Wales is the area they are watching ..it’s unpredictable because there are so many other prevailing systems that come into that area to change its coarse and behaviour .

    Update on Oma
The cyclone is tracking away from coast ..though seas still high risk ..
It is expected to go north and they are concerned there is a chance of it slowly curving ND potentially approach Tropical North With a chance of reforming when it meets up with other systems up there ..they are monotoring closely ..
    https://mobile.abc.net.au/news/2019-02-23/tropical-cyclone-oma-weakens-off-southern-queensland-coast/10839374
So chances of a welcome reprieve ..
