Eric , SWC, I looked at the live map earthquake and something ain’t right…take a look at Calif and Hawaii that it’s almost every minutes on the run but low magnitudes. Just keep eyes on. I’m not too sure but watching. ..

This happened a couple of days ago. LOssie, here’s a link to a news site about it:
I guess there’s a lot of quakes worldwide right now, and the ones in Hawaii are being caused by that volcano.
-
Thanks Sara! I now realized the frequent quakes in calif just about every minutes that caused by Hawaii volcano.

@lossie2020
Here is a great resource. The volcanic ring of fire is in a subduction zone (tectonic plates crashing into each other).

Eric and SWC, I can sense the waves above the grounds. Its connection to constant volcano in Hawaii. Very intriguing.

The scientists predict this year will be bad with earthquakes.

Hi to you all. It is so frustrating not being able to send you comments, particularly on weekends, when the Internet in my isolated area is poor to non existent.
My first non-sent post was around 9.00am my time re the major Hawaiian earthquake, and then the many aftershocks.
Anyway, now that the server is less congested, there has been a 6.1 mag, in the Philippines.
I don’t think these are one offs. Please, be prepared if that is possible, in any areas in the world prone to quakes. I don’t like what I’m feeling. Pete-
Hi petemedium!
You are correct, this is not coincidence. I took physical geography in college ages ago.
If one knows where the plates are & how they move one can predict some things.
Here is a good resource showing a map and the way plates move (towards each other, away from each other, and sliding in opposite directions against each other).
The volcanic ring of fire is in a subduction zone. This means tectonic plates are crashing into each other.
