I remember as a child thinking about the holocaust about WW2 thinking wow that could never happen in my lifetime and here we are, torturing civilians, why? It just makes me want to vomit.

I am still crying every day since the war started. It is a feeling of helplessness and a feeling that the history repeats again. I want to vomit when I see the Russian TV propaganda videos on internet. Unfortunately I understand the language. I always thought that any language is an asset – I speak 7 – now I wish I did not have that particular asset.

I think spirit is more references the horrors humanity unleashes have, that goes beyond the pale, gas chambers, torture rooms, mass graves, mud, I fell like I am in the 40s listening to the ramblingings of an insane madman but it’s Russian now.

Putin is planning a sham referendum about Ukraine’s easternmost provinces becoming part of Russia. After that, he could be able to threaten others with nukes if attacked, because he would then have the pretext to consider it an attack on Russia.

Pete, you literally are pro-Putin if you have this viewpoint. I am from “post -Soviet” country and my ancestors were sent to Siberia for having too much education and for having their own house. Everything was taken from us, nothing ever returned. My ancestors allways were repeating mantra – this Soviet time will not go on for long. US and other nations will not allow this. Well US did not interfere… and my country was cleansed, hundereds of thousand people killed, sent to Siberia, Russified. DON’t YOU DARE BLAME US NOW when it is on the right part of history and IS HELPING UKRAINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this is not time for messages like that

This was unheard of for long, as Putin’s machinery of repression quelled all public protests since the beginning of his invasion.-
Good for the protesters! I hope they can convince the rest of the Russian government to stop obeying Putin.
