Do you think these attacks on both Saudi and Iran are from this new breed of terrorist? If so, which country do you think this new breed of terrorist come from?

Nevermind. Just reread where it said “in Persia, in the gulf” – so maybe not just from one country such as Iran.

I think these ship attacks are the new breed, precise, accurate, not bloody and destructive.

What happens after support for the US in the middle east begins to wavier? Does it become more and more dangerous for US ships etc. to be in the region?

If the case, I assume this is the first true sign of the US in decline as China and Russia make inroads and gain further support in the middle east.

Trevor — The recent betrayal of the Kurds by the US is definitely not going gain support for the US in the Middle East because the Kurds are now done with the US are having to now reach out to the Assad regime, Russia and Iran in hopes of preventing a Kurdish genocide by Turkey.

Iraq also recently joined China’s Belt and Road project.

Between this and the Turkish attacks on the Kurds going on, the Middle East seems to be going through a lot of chaos lately. In Syria, thousands of Kurdish civilians have fled their homes due to Turkish strikes.

A lot of experts are also worried that Turkey’s assault on the Kurdish fighters could lead to ISIS returning to power. Even though they lost their ‘caliphate’, there are still many scattered around, and that kind of hatred doesn’t just vanish….people are worried the chaos will make it easy for ISIS members to regroup and plan attacks.
