Imo, just allow all the borders open, let everyone flow freely, free everything for illegals, why not? That is what most dems want anyway so why fight it. The cities they control for years are a mess, they just crucify any republicans common sense, many of us are just so tired of the constant fighting and real obstruction…just let them take over it all…will not then be long before we will all want to move out, sad.

Most democrats don’t want totally open borders–that wouldn’t be safe, in light of terrorism. They care about national security, they just don’t think a border wall is the way to go. There are other ways to improve national security, by improving vetting methods or increasing security personnel, for example.
At the same time, we don’t want to close the door to people who need help, people who are fleeing violence. We want to be able to vet who’s coming in, and we can do that without closing the borders entirely or building a wall.
Trump often makes it sound like Democrats hate national security and don’t care about other Americans, but that isn’t true. Please know, Democrats aren’t objecting to national security, they’re objecting to the wall idea. You can support national security without supporting the wall.
Keep in mind, many of Trump’s arguments for the wall have been debunked. For example, most drugs come in through legal points of entry, so the border wall will do nothing at all to help stop drug trade. It isn’t the cure-all Trump is promising; it’s a waste of resources, and Trump wants to take a lot of money from other programs to build it.

peggy9cats, don’t be so childish. You know you’ve never spoken to “most Dems” and you know there’s not a single political poll showing “most Dems” supporting open borders. Making stuff up because you’re mad about something not going your way isn’t cool.

One day there will be humans crossing what was once America’s borders into what was once America. Walls can’t prevent this inevitable future because all countries have end dates. America will be forgotten one day just like we will be forgotten one day. The outrage from both sides on this topic is pointless when you look long term. Sorry not sorry.

Ann, I don’t think I’m being childish….I think many of dems are though. As I stated, let them all in! Dem leadership in Chicago, San Francisco, NYC, have ruined these cities. Sure walls are not the only answer to this crisis. Just sick of the fighting between parties, meanwhile nothing gets done for the country. Eventually libs will take over anyway and only the one percenters will live in comfort and dignity. Go ahead and castigate me, but I’m entitled to my opinion and many people agree with me.

Trump supporters should be mad at Trump and not this judge or Democrats because his main campaign promise was that Mexico was going to pay for the wall, yet here he is getting blocked by a judge for using an executive order to take money away from the DoD to pay for a wall that Mexico was suppose to pay. This guy’s nothing but a conman through and through, and his supporters are just useful tools for him to use and con. Sad.
