I am stunned to watch this administration and the president stand in front of reporters and call everyone dishonest, but never with proof and people don’t even question them. People aren’t even paying attention to the words that they are saying or they would realize something is very, very wrong. At what point did we Americans stop holding our elected officials accountable? The so called press conference yesterday alone was crazy, for lack of a better term. Who thinks a leader of any country, but especially the United States, could spend all their time talking about how great of a person he is instead of talking about facts.
Contacting our local elected officials have been fruitless as they are standing with the party line on all issues (much like those calling for an investigation of the leals, but not of the information that was shown).
I am disheartened by the state of my country and cannot believe that 44% of the people support someone who doesn’t even seem to know what he’s talking about.

I see that American intervention in the world hasn’t worked and that we do have serious problems with materialism and greed–particularly the politicians.
But to say our country must be burned to the ground is too extreme.Most Americans are not living in ideal conditions–we deal with horrible issues just like everyone else in the world: illness, death, being evicted, worrying about how we’re going to put food on the table, abuse, rape, homelessness. There are children here who are in foster homes after being abused. Teens in hospitals after trying to commit suicide. People in nursing homes–including my mother, who was bedridden before she turned 53. None of them deserve to suffer for the sins of some of their countrymen.
Every country on this planet has problems that need to be resolved–no country is perfect. No country should ever be burned to the ground.
America is no different from other countries in that we have good and bad people living here…the innocent shouldn’t have to burn to the ground along with the bad.You’re entitled to your opinion, but I just want to point out that saying America needs to be burned to the ground to become worthy again is like saying “Australia must burn”, or “Croatia needs to burn” or whatever. It’s a generalization, one that only hurts more people. I would never think Croatia or Australia “need to burn” to fix whatever mistakes they make….no one needs to go through something like that.

I agree that all countries have people who suffer and all countries have those who call the shots, so to speak, those in power. I can only speak for myself when I say life humbled us all when we go through trying times. I don’t believe this comment was literal as much as it is metaphorical. The United States has done some amazing things around the world, as well as some not as great. The hard decision is do you, as a country, go in to try to save those who are in great danger from their own country or leave them and explain you can’t take care of everyone? That said, from where I sit many in our society, think businesses, pharmaceutical companies who raise prices on life saving meds to the point the average person can’t afford them or perhaps big oil who are out to make a buck no matter if we have no water left to drink or land that isn’t shaking with earthquakes from fracking. Not to mention the insurance industry who make billions, with a B, but no longer want to be a part of the Affordable Care Act and have been raising premiums for the past twelve or so years. Not to put words in Pete’s mouth, but I have always believed greed is what would bring us down, money over people and that’s where we currently stand today. I don’t think he meant any disrespect toward the average citizen, but more so the mindset and the view those around the world have of us. I believe we have needed a shake up for a very long time, however, unless this current situation creates more open government and more opportunities for the working class I fear we may be in need of a miracle to save us and while this administration is shaking us up, it is not doing a thing for every day American and it is hurting our reputation across the country.
Sorry, I try not to be political as I don’t believe we have any idea what our government does behind closed doors, but I do in my soul believe that greed is what will do us in. I am happy to share what little I have with those who are in need and my family has proudly served this country for generations so it is very hard for me to sit by and watch what is happening and to feel completely saddened by the whole thing. The whole “me” mentality or looking out for one’s self has really hurt us and we used to not be like this. Money truly changes things for some. It is with a heavy heart I pray for our country and for the world as a whole. My dream would be to wake up and to find there is peace on earth at some point in my life. Perhaps prayer is what we all need to engage in at this time.

I believe America is already bankrupt. The prior administration “doubled” our national debt in 8 years, from approx 10 trillion to approx 20 trillion. Now here we are…if interest rates go up, we will not even be able to pay the interest on this debt. Decades of living large and running up the debt has come home to roost folks and when it comes crashing down Trump will be blamed.

I’m unaffiliated with either party and didn’t support either of the 2 candidates, so maybe I’m biased.
But I could see either side doing side-deals.I’ve heard stories about Trump and Russia, as well as stories about Obama encouraging people to resist his policies–are any of these stories true? I don’t know, and I don’t pretend to. Personally, I find both sides corrupt in their own ways, but I don’t know what to make of this treason prediction.
Whatever it is, whoever it’s about, we should all keep open minds and carefully weigh any evidence that may come.And we shouldn’t attack each other, either. It’s a confusing time, with different news outlets saying different things, and we’re all struggling to sift through what’s true and what’s not. Instead of dismissing each other and throwing insults, now is the time for civil debate, open minds, and careful vetting of news sources.

“The regime is about to fall”. Unless that’s metaphorical, the word regime makes it sound more like North Korea than America, because the people there really refer to Kim Jong Un’s leadership that way.

Eric, I think some of these heated comments stem from seeing the liberty and freedom of our beloved country being abused and manipulated (and potentially stripped away) by a mental case person accusing media of being fake news agencies and blaming the leak of Flynn’s conversation with Russia on the intel agency rather than applauding it (which continues to raise suspicion). Not to mention other impeachable things he has pulled and the GOP elected officials keeping a blind eye to everything, and his supporters still standing by him against what every human decency and common sense would dictate. All are frustrating and disheartening which is why some let their emotions get the better of them. Pls understand that.

Myseventh I can’t reply to you above, so I’ll reply to you here. With the greatest respect to you, I believe you need to raise your level of contact with the Spirit world in your meditations. I teach the difference between personal opinion, spirit interaction and Higher Guidance and the first thing I ask any pupil concerning their ‘messages’ from Spirit is how often they meditate, how long the meditation, what protection they use. Obviously I can’t go into the full details here, but can I suggest humbly that you ask for a higher level of Guidance next time you interact with Them. If you get the same information then that is your level with them. I don’t mean this in any way as a criticism, simply as a guiding tool for you, and others if they wish, to strengthen their contact with this beautiful Peace that those of us find when we interact with the Highest of Guidance. The true source of Peace.

In saying ‘burning to the ground’ I was referring to everything that has been built in the world, not just America. The entire monetary system, governance, controls, rich made rich while poor starve in many countries of the world. That is the burning to the ground I was referring to. And there won’t be a country in the world that won’t be effected by it. I understand how depressed you are. It’s when the world is uncertain that we feel most scared. That’s when we need to take a break from news, or at least try to keep busy with things that cheer us up. Getting outside, reading, having family get-togethers, whatever helps.For whatever it’s worth, Trump isn’t likely to turn into Hitler–we have checks-and-balances in our system that Germany didn’t have before WW2. (The way Congress and the 9th court rolled back Trump’s immigration ban shows that they have a lot of influence over what’s going on.)
Keep in mind, a lot of the politicians today have been working for years for their jobs–going to college, running for office, all that. Trump sort of appeared out of nowhere, and I don’t think many politicians would be willing to risk the careers they’ve been working towards all their lives by supporting super-extreme policies.
Also, whoever has been saying Obama will be “the last president” could be a fraud trying to scare people. There are a lot of doomsday-sayers that scare the hell out of innocent people by predicting the end of the world, or a country being destroyed, or whatever.
Warren Jeffs, the FLDS leader now in prison, scared many of his followers by insisting the year 2000 would be the end of the world. I read a book from the POV of a woman who escaped the cult. She described how Jeffs got everyone worked up into a frenzy, and how terrified she was on New Year’s Eve, truly thinking that the world would end before she woke up in the morning, wondering if she’d ever see her family and friends again.
Some of the people predicting Trump becoming Hitler or the anti-Christ are frauds, and others are genuinely misguided or misread their dreams/visions. People make mistakes, they are flawed.Please, try to remember all of this. I know we have legitimate concerns about Trump’s behavior and actions, but be careful not to let your fear become debilitating. Between the pro and anti-Trump rhetoric and name-calling and arguing, it’s easy to let fear in. Fear is one of the hardest things to fight (I know, I’ve had plenty of experience with that!) But it can be fought with calming techniques, logical research, keeping occupied with other activities.
