New York Snow Storm

This prediction has happened, snow not water.

Notes on 9-28-14  I had a visual of massive flooding. The view showed brown water and implied the flooding was deep.
Where?
“Buffalo, 12″

The Facts: “The National Guard is being dispatched to parts of New York after receiving the season’s first big snowfall in feet, rather than inches, on Tuesday as 3 feet of lake-effect snow blanketed the Buffalo area. (Nov. 18)” Quoted by http://news.yahoo.com/video/lake-effect-snow-pummels-ny-204119132.html

Going to be 60 in a few days so that snow will melt. Hence the floooding?

Yep. That was my thought too. Another solid prediction Eric. Hope everyone stays safe up in NY.

They are starting to narrow it down to the city.

That is logical to quote Mr. Spock LOL

Eric I know this is snow now, but what about when it begins to melt? Hopefully it will be a gradual melting. I just thought about it since here in Colorado we have the problems which occur with to much snow melt coming down from the mountains on occasion. It can turn a small creek into a raging river.

I know there is a concern of flooding it is possible, but the overall message is a weather issue in Buffalo. I personally think we made a mistake on the type of weather, but we will see.

Thanks Eric. For some reason the posts aren’t going to my email again. Makes me feel disquambobilated (is that a word lol?). Sorry if my posts don’t seem to be flowing along with the others. Oh I saw this am that they are going to be taking an ice core sample today of the snow in Buffalo to measure how much flooding the area has the potential of getting. I am curious if it is a foot (12″).

        Hi Eric,
I heard on the news today, actually it was a news conference with Gov. Cumo(spell?). He stated the potential flooding issue and advising everyone to start planning now for the flooding that was coming…. He mentioned the potential of 6 feet of water…. Yikes. I so hope it’s not that bad, but he is smart to prepare everyone for the worse.

Are you sure it is feet? The news tonight said an estimate of six inches.

            Are they expecting flooding?

            1. Jules104 Avatar

Yes flooding. That is all they’ve been talking about on the weather channel all day. I think it’s suppose to be in the 60’s, so 15 degrees above the average, and a chance of rain also. Praying everyone stays safe there in Buffalo, NY.

Well then I spoke to soon then.

Oh about the whole weather situation. The Spirits are right. I read that this would go down on record as one of the top five lake effect storms in history. Also read where Dr. Greg Forbes from The Weather Channel was using a calculation of 12″ of snow to explain how heavy snow can be on someone’s roof, hence causing it to collapse.

Okay this article does quote someone warning that up to six feet of water could spill into the low lying areas causing flooding. It sounds like they are getting prepared already for water rescues, etc. also. Saying prayers for them.

          Really? Wow that not good.

jules104, add the ‘from address’ of all mail that you do not want to end up in your spam folder into your address book. That way you will get your mail. You can add a special folder for such addresses as Eric’s.

I wish some rich person would fund an underground drainage system to send flood waters to areas that are experiencing drought.
