U.S. Politics: It’s all over the news Rick will be in the media spotlight over a slimy little deal.

The Facts reported by CNN on 8-15-14: A grand jury has indicted Texas Gov. Rick Perry a potential 2016 presidential candidate, saying he abused his power by trying to pressure a district attorney to resign.

The two felony counts against Perry, a Republican, stem from his threat to veto funding for a statewide public integrity unit run by Travis County District Attorney Rosemary Lehmberg unless she stepped down, the special prosecutor in the case, Michael McCrum, said.     This is a very old prediction it would be interesting to see when he asked her to resign. The prediction goes all the way back to 2012

    This lady was arrested for DWI back in 2013 very high blood alcohol ….she had been hard core against people who came before her on DWI charges. He wanted her resignation and she refused. Long standing feud.       Hi Pam, I plan to ask Spirit where the indictment leads for the Governor. However the Spirits are refocused on hurricanes and earthquakes so I am not sure how quickly they will respond.

    Everything was out in the open; he told the D.A. of Austin,Tx she should resign , after she was arrested for DUI, .23 alcohol level, and was surly with officers. Look on youtube for video showing her in jail. Perry did not hide his feelings. I don’t like much of what he stands for, but neither do I applaud any drunk driving & threatening the lives of many others. I believe the indictment is dem stunt to hurt Perry. I am not in favor of Perry; some of us, in fact, very very few, judge things issue by issue, like this one. That woman, D.A. of Travis County, was driving DRUNK, .23 level of alcohol . BAD.

    The issue is clearly how he went about it. It wasn’t legal.

    Yes it looks like it is the actual way he went about trying to force her out by with holding funds that were needed. There may be a democratic strategy involved here also but Gov Perry should have known better especially if he wants to run for President in 2016. No matter that the DA was driving drunk, Perry still needed to do things legally. It seems rather like a bullying technique which is what most of us try to teach our children not to do. As for the DA, thank gosh she didn’t injure or kill anyone and has hopefully learned something from all of this along with Gov Perry.
