Prediction: The US Economy Plummets

The US economy plummets in a very bad way.

The Russians steal science and technology from the US, as the keys are practically handed over.

The benefits of the poor slashed.

No one is coming to help.

This prediction is a message about the path we have taken. One hopes that the path is altered. I am unclear if its related or not but I want to remind you of a previous prediction:

Predictions 7-12-17    “The prices too high.. the economy really starts to go south.. stocks tumble.. a new recession begins..”   The implication was July but also pointed to August…

Economists have been predicting this since early last year and have stepped up their concerns with each passing month. Even though I don’t live in the US, this is will still hurt my country’s economy, (although the rest of the G7 countries will likely work together to mitigate our damage) but I have to say…Americans have done this to themselves. Someone like Trump doesn’t come to power without a massive amount of division, apathy, selfishness, that smug American exceptionalism and an unwarranted sense of “me first”. I wonder how the base (and that’s the right name for them because they certainly are…) will feel about “MAGA” when the bottom falls out. Sorry, but the rest of the world will see this as justified payback for the chaos and destruction your so-called leader has unleashed on the world.

    1. Sara Avatar

Most Americans don’t believe in “American exceptionalism”, most are ordinary, hardworking people struggling to provide for their families….just like everyone else in every other country.

It’s not justified payback if we have a recession. It’s another blow to ordinary people thanks to a government’s policy. People tend to judge countries based on their leadership…..but it rarely works that way. North Korea’s leader is a cruel dictator, but his people are good, ordinary people stuck in a bad situation. We can’t judge them for KJU’s actions.

I know Trump’s policies–and that of many presidents before–have caused a lot of chaos, but please don’t judge Americans based on them.

I didn’t vote for Trump, but I read that most of the people who did weren’t doing it out of division or selfishness….many saw the government as corrupt and stagnant, and they thought an outsider would help. Like you, I can’t see why they thought Trump could be the solution, but those voters had good intentions.

All in all, politicians in America haven’t been helping the ordinary people for years–and still aren’t. Most Americans aren’t bad people, and they’ll be innocent victims of any chaos that’s caused.

      1. jules104 Avatar

Well said Sara. In my opinion I feel as though Trump has a karmic job to fulfill. Sounds silly but…if he’d never come along Americans would still be going down their usual path of not paying attention. I believe America, when this is over and all is said and done…and rebuilt😏, will be a much better place. Like it had to get to this before anyone’s consciousness was going to evolve. I hope that makes sense. And I hope and pray we get to that better place sooner than later!🙏🏻❤️🌟😉

And thank you, Jules. Praying the next president will be way better to help fix the messes that Trump created. It’s scary that he thinks he is “THE LAW”, but no one is above the laws. Another thing he said that “he is the only one that can fix it”. That’s way scary and we do not want a dictator in our country. But we all people are strong and keeping our eyes on him to see what his next move then we’d protest. I think our younger generation is getting better than we thought. I am grateful they too have the voices. We as Americans are good people just like any other country and want to make life better. At this moment, we are watching and protesting for immigration families being separated by children. It’s very immoral. However, praying for hope and peace stretching out from US throughout the world.

Ok you didn’t vote for him and every time I write a post like this, apparently no one voted for him so I guess he’s the first president in US history that was put in power by elves. Those who oppose him in your country are not doing enough to shut him down. There should be massive protests daily, a mile width of people in front of 1600 everyday, you should be in the streets shutting down DC, you should be on the phone to your congress rep and senator so much they can’t turn around. Fight this. The US has been hijacked by an ignoramus authoritarian dictator who isn’t content to just destroy his own country, he’s going to make the rest of us pay too. Trade wars easily become real wars. Is that what you want? Don’t just wring your hands and talk about God and prayers because that does nothing. Take your country back. Get it together. Do something.

        Joy,
Many of us are doing something. I’ve written to Congress many times on different issues and signed all sorts of petitions. I have relatives who attend rallies. Many Americans are rallying against the zero-tolerance policies, it’s gone on in many cities.

You may not know this, but impeachment is extremely difficult to pull off, especially because both the house and the senate need to agree. Bill Clinton was almost impeached in the 90s, and many Americans were calling for it, but either the house or the senate held back–can’t recall which one–so it got stuck there.

The White House is so divided right now, impeachment proceedings are a long-shot even with people putting pressure on Congress. So a lot of people are protesting against individual polices they disagree with, such as zero-tolerance or gun control/mental health safety, trying to change these policies and make real progress, rather than focus solely on impeachment which is a long-shot.

I too, would much rather see someone else in the White House, and people are trying to make that happen. But since it’s a long-shot, it’s a good idea to try to change polices so no matter who’s in the White House, progress can still be made.

If we can’t convince Congress to impeach Trump, we can at least pressure them on changing policies we disagree with.

But it’s very difficult with such a divided Congress, because if they won’t compromise or talk civilly, bills don’t get passed. But we keep trying. We keep putting pressure on them to do their jobs.

With all due respect, the American people are doing what they can to make things better, and the ball is really in Congress’s court now. We’re not sitting lazily and doing nothing.

Keep in mind, if you’re frustrated by how little the American government listens to ordinary people and how hard it is to enact change, try being one of us. We live with this daily.

Government incompetence has been a frustration for us for years, we’re all fed up with it, but everyone has different ideas about fixing it and are trying different things.

  2. Karben Avatar

Remember Joy, we did not put Trump in the White House. Hillary won the popular vote. Trump doesn’t pay his own bills let alone care about anyone else or the economy. He’s going down, it’s just a matter of time before his lies catch up with him. An illegitimate president the Russians put there.

    1. jules104 Avatar

I’m exactly feeling the same way Karben. But I also totally get what Joy is saying. This is a big wake up call for a lot of Americans. I hope and pray all the darkness and greed is exposed and cleaned up and out of our politics no matter which side you vote for. I’m voting for America.

      1. petemedium Avatar

I side with Joy. Yes those of you in the US are feeling pretty helpless and limited with how to deal with your current situation. But the world outside of the US didn’t and couldn’t vote for your administration and President, yet historically we have suffered for America’s decision. The Depression started in the US and sent most nations broke. Basically that caused the rise of the Nazis and WWII, which in turn split nations and created on going wars. President FDR, I believe your greatest President, set about regulating the American financial market in order that both the US and the world didn’t get hit again. He also instigated the United Nations, the promotion of people over money power and successfully set a blueprint to bring the world together.
He died before that could be fully implemented, and again, without the world having a voice, American Presidents and Governments slowly stripped away those safeguards.
Wars that were more to the advantage of ‘America’s Interest’, made America billions of dollars. Recessions, economic crises, including the Global Financial Crisis came out of the US, not Europe. Not China.
Right now, at this very moment, the world is revolting. But they are not doing it in a war like manner. They are simply meeting to enact ways of isolating the real world away from the US.
And if I read Joy Parks correctly, that is what she is alluding to. As outside observers, with far more insight, which we all have when we see things from a distance, we can see how serious the situation really is for not only the US but the world as a whole. The US is in the driver’s seat, and the world is in the back.
We can’t protest. We can’t spread the word to make the changes. We can’t vote. And the power we did have in the UN, was stripped away by John Bolton during the Presidency of George W Bush.

So I’ll go another way to Joy and ask, how can we help you? We are brothers and sisters in the ‘bus’, how can we assist you?

Because in helping you, we help ourselves. Pete

Same here. I hear what Joy was saying and thanks for sharing your frustrations that doesn’t live in our country. I appreciated your perspective that live outside of USA. Also thanks to Sara for explaining how difficult it is to impeach the president. It’s very frustrating for both congress and ordinary people. Definitely there are huge pressure unto the White House but we are not sitting back to let it run on. We are watching every move and words Trump spoke. It’s grieve us to see the tariff situation. Very poorly ideas and affected our American farmers business. They are not making money from raising cows to make cheese. It’s frustrating and just don’t get it as why Trump is doing that…very, very frustrated…..I think I said enough as its very personal to me too that affecting all of us. We need the power of prayers to manifest Trump changed his mind and not do his ways. However thanks Joy and WONDERFUL team of SWC. Pete,
The rise of Nazism and WWII didn’t start in the US. After WWI, all the Allies decided to punish Germany for the war with huge economic reparations, which led to inflation and massive poverty.

The US depression didn’t help matters, but all the allies made a horrible mistake in their massive punishment of Germany….because that led to Germany being susceptible to someone like Hitler.

It isn’t just America whose actions affect the world. Europe, Canada….all countries in the world effect each other, and it’s important to remember that. It’s easier to blame one country alone, but every country’s good and bad policies have affects on the others.

        1. Eric Leigh-Pink Avatar

Let’s all remember that my objective on this site is to create a place where we are united in a common cause to alter these predictions. US politics have managed to tear a large whole in my plans. If we are ever going to bring about change we must be a united front. Think about what we could accomplish if we worked together to bring about change in the world and please remember what our mission here is. I really do hope we can all get past this decisiveness the US leaders have planted in our daily life.

      4. petemedium Avatar

Sara, I didn’t say the rise of Nazism and WWII start in the US. Yes the world took out it’s revenge on Germany after WWI by imposing demands for compensation. But when the depression, which was started in the US, hit the world economies, America united with Britain to force Germany to speed up those compensation payments.
The world, outside of those mentioned nations, suffered for what those then Empires, forced on the world, who had no say in the matter.
The horrible mistake was the Depression. It should not have been allowed to happen.

      5. Sara Avatar
        Sara

        Pete and Joy,
I’m sorry if I sounded defensive in any of my replies. It’s just that sometimes I feel like Americans get blamed for everything that goes wrong in the world.

If something happens in the world and we don’t act, people say we stood by and let bad things happen. If we do act, people say we’re interfering and being colonizers. It’s frustrating because it seems like, no matter what we do, we’re seen as snobbish jerks.

I’m probably being oversensitive, but it feels like, since the election, many others think we deserve it when bad things happen to us. But not all of us voted for Trump, and those who did were doing it out of desperation, not malice.

Again, I don’t mean to come off as overly defensive. I guess I just feel scared about things going on. And I worry that people in other countries don’t realize we’re different than our politicians.

Come to think of it, though, politicians don’t seem to really represent any country they lead–not the ordinary people, anyway.

Unreal. No telling what Trump will disclose to Putin when they meet alone, behind closed doors, and with no officials present. Spirit did say there would be 2 impeachment attempts, with the 2nd one being successful, and it being about Trump disclosing classified info to the Russians. Starting to look more and more like Trump’s main purpose once president was to screw us and the country for Putin.

I feel like were living in some bad movie plot…I wish that there was some law that a president can’t meet with another foreign leader without some documentation of what is said in the meeting. They could redact things that aren’t appropriate for the public to hear but at least the President couldn’t meet in total privacy and do or say things that aren’t in the interest of the American public.

  4. jules104 Avatar

Eric, I’ve been watching two or three other people who are psychics that channel recently and seem to have a good track record as you do also…and they have basically been matching up with what you have said in the past and are saying here. Trump is giving classified information to Putin, the Russians, and he is not alone. There is so much going on behind the scenes, that most Americans can’t even fathom it. I think it will be a shock for some. A lot of damaging things being done due to greed and power. The outcomes they gave or saw were those who are involved will be exposed eventually and given the boot! I hope and pray they are correct.🙏🏻🌟❤️ The other message they always give is to not let fear take over. Keep faith and hope alive within you.
And to be clear, I don’t care who or what side political leaders or persons are on. If they are allowing greed, power and darkness to control them, it’s never going to be good.

    1. Sara Avatar
      Sara

Too many leaders have been concerned with their parties or their careers, and ignore other voices. Sadly, in my opinion, Trump, Obama, the Clintons….as well as politicians on each side….seem to care more for policies and ‘the party’ than people.

I feel like they’ve been pulling Americans from left to right, depending on who’s in power, but never helping us pull forward.

And several world leaders are greedy and power-hungry, too: Putin, who silences anyone who opposes him. Kim Jong Un, keeping his people in concentration camps. Iran’s leaders impose strict laws that lead to ‘honor killings’.

Really, there should be a worldwide required-list of qualities all leaders should have: dignity, courage, compassion, an ability to listen and negotiate when needed, the ability to stand up and prevent atrocities when needed, kindness, intelligence, appointing people based on skill, not being beholden to corporations…….it’s depressing how few politicians and world leaders really fit these basic qualities of leadership.

      1. Eric Leigh-Pink Avatar

I believe it would be nice to make it a requirement of some type of government service, military or other politics to be able to become a president.

      2. jules104 Avatar

Absolutely like that list idea Sara!
And money has got to be taken out of politics for sure, it’s just plain common sense to most.
I feel there is a generation of children being raised now and many already prepared that will fulfill your list Sara and gladly do the job so many politicians now are not doing! Kids these days have a different view of their World. They’ve had to live through all of our generations mistakes. And there’s a lot right? Not all mistakes but…it seems so clear to them sometimes it’s amazing to me. The hero’s will be showing up in droves I think. ☺️

I like Bernie because he’s always been on the side of civil rights and fighting for the disinfranchised while also opposing unregulated greed from both parties. Reagan really changed the game in Washington when he came to power – that is, both parties and every president since Reagan has been more in favor of helping big business, the big banks and Wall Street instead of putting us first. The “greed is good” era never ended after the Reagan era, it’s only worsened due to multi-national corporations buying off our Congress and thus controlling our country.

      4. jules104 Avatar

Thank You Sara…I am just one of many Americans, I’m sure, who are calling their Senators and writing letters trying to get things done/changed and do what I can. And there have been and still are many protests going on across our country. I’m sure not everyone can drop everything and go to DC to camp out in the streets…which for some is on the other side of the country. If people think we have an issue with kids now, I can only imagine what would happen if we all left them at home (West Coast for me) to fend for themselves so we can go protest (East Coast) in DC. (Just a bit of a funny there sorry.) Besides the problems go a lot deeper than just Trump as you’ve pointed out. But I truly believe that our democratic process will prevail, and let’s not forget about the Investigation(s) going on right now by Robert Mueller and Team.
Here’s just an example of the ongoing recent protests by Americans. And there’s more to find if anyone would like to google it.

And yes, I too hope our system will prevail….and that we can replace corrupted leaders on all sides with better ones.

That’s one reason I think 3rd parties need to be given more status….as it is, the two main parties just have to put up a candidate they think can beat the other, not necessarily good candidates. If there was more competition from 3rd parties, it might help the two main parties get their act together.

Look for a slight rise in the S&P500 to about 2753 tomorrow or Monday, then a big dip of 150 points and a final run to a new high late July / Early August. After that, it’s lights out. It has nothing to do with Trump, politics, etc… Every world index is doing the same thing and has been for decades. It goes in cycles. When we put people first, then the country becomes less, the people become more, the world becomes smaller and the outstretching of love over rides the pride and arrogance.
As an example, and its only an example, currently there are many nations’ representatives working in Thailand to rescue the 15 currently stuck in the cave there.
Our media has highlighter the working of those other nations, including the Russians, Chinese, Brits, Thais and of course Australians who are coordinating the rescue with the Thai Government.
CNN tell us that Elon Musk is preparing to send a mini sub to rescue the boys.
The New York Times makes no mention of whose coordinating the rescue, those involved or who is providing assistance. They have concentrated only on the boys and some reference to the Thai Government. And I could show plenty more examples.
And it is this kind of reporting, that gives the impression that the only nation in the world that ever assists other nations, is Americans. This in turn has convinced Americans generally that the world is totally dependent on the US. That hurts those nations who have always put people first and their nations second.
I hope that gives just a small example of why there is such animosity in the world toward the US, even thought the American people themselves are not considered at fault, as much as the structure of arrogance that has been allowed to grow over so many years in your country. Pete

I wasn’t implying that other countries don’t assist in disasters. Actually, the way the world comes together in some of those times–like they have for the Thai boys trapped in the cave, as you pointed out–is one of the most hopeful things about humankind.

I don’t really see Good Samaritans as something based on nations, some people in the world are just overwhelmingly noble and helpful.

OH dear reading through all your comments ..
Oh my what an amazing array of opinion all based on wanting a better world to live in while leaders are isolating the very people they are there to represent …this may sound silly ..
But reading between the lines comes through a very common desire ..we all want the case thing ..
Strong decisive compassionate leaders who reflect the heart and core of their people .
I agree that if the young ones coming up the rear see through this we will be in good hands .
Out with the old school dramatic thought process in with the new clear humanitarian mind set ..united and focused on world need for unity celebrating the differences ..not using them to devide.
I just wanted to say I heard a common thread in all your comments one that wants peace .
Not quietness as peace goes but proactive constructive peace ..
Blessings all of you . You care and that’s good .

Would Tariffs plummet the economy? When it comes to economics I am a bit ignorant.

If I can recall correctly, there were tariffs enforced during the Bush administration, circa 2002-2003. It only lasted 18 months, yet it did had an effect were things did get costly for the consumer. I’m sure if those tariffs did brought about the recession and the 2007/2008 financial crisis.

But the main point to understand in terms of economics, from the best of my knowledge, is that trade wars don’t tend to end well and nobody wins. It didn’t work for Bush and it probably won’t work out well for Trump. But the way he’s doing it (and I have a gut feeling he doesn’t know very much about basic economics 101), it probably will cause another recession.

That’s the best way I could put it.

The way the Trump administration wants to change SNAP means millions would lose food stamp access.

“SNAP is related to hunger and getting people the nutrition they need,” one advocate told NBC News. “Food shouldn’t be a luxury.”
