This article in Vanity Fair mentions that CNN and The Washington Post plant to have stories on dozens of lawmakers, potentially as many as 20-40 lawmakers in Congress.

It seems the environment was ideal for this sort of behavior to run rampant. Lawmakers were protected from being exposed by a system the set up for their benefit and not the accusers. They worked late hours and sometimes slept in their offices. The was an abundance of young interns and aids present and no wives around. The worst part I think was a sort of acceptance of this type of behavior–everyone knew about it.

“How Republicans made millions on the tax cuts they pushed through Congress”

“The 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act is a case study of how lawmakers make themselves richer with the bills they pass.”
